Hard Wood

My wood collections are craved from the following hard wood namely:

Chi Tan or purple wood which are very expensive. It is especially true with ‘small leaf’ Chi Tan. A fine piece of less than 12 inches height command many couples of thousands in Singapore Dollars.

Some objects are from blackwood, black hard wood, red hard wood.

I have 2 big sets of black hard wood craving of 4 panels each and 1 set of blackwood with 3 panels craving.

Many of my figurines pieces are craved from Chi Tan, blackwood and red rosewood material.

Over the years, these hard woods will grow scarce. With the continuing demands for these products and the China’s authority prohibition on the lumbering of old aged trees, I forsee that the prices of old hard wood will shoot up many folds.
